We were going to try to run digital on the North radio, but it wasn't set up in advance and proved difficult
to get working properly during the event. I always recommend getting radios configured and tested prior to
the event if you're going to run CW or digital. Conditions just aren't good for this during an event.

Although I would have preferred to have set up my solar on the South side, in hindsight I think that would have
been a problem. The ground on that side of the cabin is a lot rougher and the slope is steeper. A few years
ago (2022) I set up the panels there but the snow was deep and I used it to hold the panels in place. I think
I would have struggled to keep the panels in place there this year, so setting up on the NorthEast corner was
probably the best way to go.

There weren't a lot of operators or guests this year, but we also didn't have a lot of radios to run. I think
we were manned about right for what we had going on this year.

This is the first Field Day I've been to where the entire group has left to eat dinner at a restaurant, and at
first I thought this was odd, but in retrospect it worked out really well. El Sol was close, and despite their
being busy we got seated and served quickly, food was good, and prices were reasonable. Although they served
dinner with enormous soft drink glasses, and I had to make something like four runs to the outhouse overnight.

The only EMI I noticed was the Colby air-mattress inflation pump. No noise was heard from the solar or other
electronic gear. The desk lights I brought used simple 12v (non-dimmable) bulbs, are purely resistive and so
made no noise on the radios.

Parking at this cabin is a little bit of a walk from the cabin, but the handful of vehicles that showed up had
no problem fitting in the lot.

The outhouses were quite chilly. There's a motion-activated light outside, but it doesn't do a very good job
of illuminating the inside of the rooms. I had to wipe off a thick layer of frost from the seat in the morning
too.
